ND picks up 3 commits: Nicky Baratti–6’2" safety from Texas. Yes. Ronald Darby-5’11" CB(Think Speed) from Maryland. Yes. Scott Daly 6’4′ Long Snapper from Illinois. Yes. That makes 5 in a short recruiting class and the CB position is finished.

BG Game– Fairly interesting. Lots of running around and many players – hard to keep track in the rain. I don’t care, I want names on jerseys from now on. Just because Gipp didn’t – excuse me, I don’t have a program for every game.

All QB’s did ok, both Hendrix and Golson can pass and run so the future looks good.

Without looking at the game again, I’ll just pick 4 players for comment:

  • Louis Nix – could be very good if he gets in shape – looked gassed early!!
  • Ishaq Williams — Gonna be good – fast.
  • Danny Spond – I think he starts. Very impressed with his play.
  • Aaron Lynch – It is really hard to believe he’s still a high school kid. He is going to be real special — Better than Manti as a frosh. No one on OL could really handle him whether he played tackle or end. One on one with Trevor Robinson – a senior – he torched him.

If Tuitt shows up in shape and has the motor he very well could beat out current DE’s for starting position. Feel confident for this season especially on defense if injuries kept to a minimum – although I’m still concerned with the hamstring issue.

Special mention to Justin Utopo ILB played well. Keith Arnold from NBC on sideline so look for the inside scoop from him.

Also, check out Subway Domer – sort of like the Mark Steyn on football.
