6TH COMMIT
Justin Ferguson, WR Florida 6’2" commits to ND. Nice skill position pickup. Appears he wants to enroll early–which is a great sign and will bolster the WR position. Welcome to ND.

ND picks up 3 commits: Nicky Baratti–6’2" safety from Texas. Yes. Ronald Darby-5’11" CB(Think Speed) from Maryland. Yes. Scott Daly 6’4′ Long Snapper from Illinois. Yes. That makes 5 in a short recruiting class and the CB position is finished.
BG Game– Fairly interesting. Lots of running around and many players – hard to keep track in the rain. I don’t care, I want names on jerseys from now on. Just because Gipp didn’t – excuse me, I don’t have a program for every game.
All QB’s did ok, both Hendrix and Golson can pass and run so the future looks good.
Without looking at the game again, I’ll just pick 4 players for comment:
If Tuitt shows up in shape and has the motor he very well could beat out current DE’s for starting position. Feel confident for this season especially on defense if injuries kept to a minimum – although I’m still concerned with the hamstring issue.
Special mention to Justin Utopo ILB played well. Keith Arnold from NBC on sideline so look for the inside scoop from him.
Also, check out Subway Domer – sort of like the Mark Steyn on football.
Kelly will have the 2 reserve QB’s doing the majority of the work in the BG game. Too bad rain in forecast but this will be interesting re-QB.
Game will be televised on Versus 2PM EST. Otherwise, you can pick it up online at und.com
Keith Arnold broke the news that Res Life ok’d Mike to play this year and not miss any games–now it’s up to Kelly to decide if he will miss any games. He must do community service and he also lost his Captain position–that’s enough. Finally ND did the right thing and did not destroy his life like what they did to Will Yeatman.
Michael Floyd arrested for DUI over the weekend by campus police. I believe the last time that happened the player was suspended for the year. Just what we needed!
Taylor Decker OT 6’8" 280+ from Vandalia Ohio verbally commited to ND Friday. That makes 2 commits this week. Believe there are only 20 scholarships available for 2012 – that leaves only 18 left with about 100 offers out. This class could fill up real fast. Can never have too many OL so good get. Welcome to ND Taylor – Just stay solid.
Tee Shepard a 6′ corner from Fresno Calif kicks off class as 1st commit. Welcome to ND Tee–we need you.
