Too bad Navy can’t play Notre Dame 10 times a year! That first drive of the game was indicative of the entire game. If you can’t run two yards, stay home. Kelly should start looking for a job now! Bring back Knute Rockne. Why is it ND gets some of the best talent in the country and these kids fall far short of expectations? Maybe you should change allegiance and root for a team like College of Charleston. you won’t be disappointed on a weekly basis. I hope you have a strong stomach.
Thanks for checking in Admiral. I actually agree with you and I think my comments expressed how Navy beat ND like a drum. Didn’t see your goat but hope he didn’t flatten our leprechaun(sp?).
I have posted that 3 plays decided this game. It was actually 4th and about a foot and ND did not gain 1 inch–great stop–you were only outweighed by about 1000lbs. Then FB sprint straight up middle and finished off with the swing pass for TD–game over right there.
10 out of 10 may be a stretch–more like 9 out of 10.
Somewhere I have posted the Navy chop on Blanton last year after whistle. Do you not think that was cause for ejection.
Actually outside of ND, I like to see Navy win and you damn near beat Ohio State and usually win your Bowl games.
But I really do have a problem with cut blocks–think they are very dangerous. The funny thing is you didn’t even have to use them ag. ND. ND had no clue at all where or who had the ball.
In the interest of fairness I direct you to Her Loyal Sons-Navy guy sent in clip of ND stomping Navy guy. Really not a stomp, in my day we called that “getting walked”.
