Timing
My wish list of favorites just reduced by one–Tommy Schutt.
Seems he was about 1/2 hour away from committing to ND when ND pulled it’s offer after getting Sheldon Day.
I’m not a recruiting expert and don’t know who the staff has lined up(limited scholies left) but I would have taken him.
NG is punishing position but guess here is– just get one and leave open a more critical position need. Too bad I really wanted this guy.
But just goes to show other recruits better hop on now or lose your offer.

No. 13 Commits
Great pick up–Sheldon Day 6’2" 280 lb. 4 Star DT from Indianapolis IN commits to ND. I still want Tommy Schutt–that would be awesome to have Day & Schutt anchor the interior. Not sure but believe that leaves only 7 scholies left. Will know soon as Schutt is scheduled to visit next week. Welcome to ND Sheldon, now Tommy put the icing on the cake.

Jordan Prestwood
Jordan (OT) has come full circle and will join his 2011 classmates 8/3/2011. As you will recall he was a very strong commit to ND as a 4 star OL and ended up at FSU. He is now back in the fold–sits out a year but we can live with that. A Big Welcome back to Jordan!!!!! Gunner Kiel–just don’t get this at all. He commits to of all places IU (HAVE TO SPELL IT OUT?) will probably start as a freshman, but with NO OL think Claussen as a Freshman at ND–he will get killed playing in Top Ten or whatever they call themselves these days. Recruiting–no idea–seem to be losing good recruits out of Ohio to UM–NEED RUNNING BACK BADLY–Mahone listen closely!!!!! Soon Fall Camp–hope Calabrese comes to play.
ND Gets Number 12
Romeo Okwara, 4 star 6’4" 230lb OLB from North Carolina is ND’s 12th commit. Somewhat of a surprise but he is from same HS as Prince Shembo–so that had to help. Just recent visitor to ND that said he would take his time and then pulls the trigger. Looks like only 8-9 left. Let’s close this class out–act like Texas.

24th commit for 2011 class
This is bizarre–Jordan Prestwood 6’6" 280 OT reportedly will leave FSU where he was an early enrollee and commit to ND once again. Hope this is true for it really helps the OL situation even though he will have to sit out this season. Believe he was a 4 star recruit and one of the earliest commits(originally) to the ND 2011 class. Giant Welcome back to the fold–if true!!!!!
